ARTIST BIO
Joshua Tan Zhi Feng (1994.), is a Fine Artist / Designer who has a diploma with distinction in Fine Arts at Lasalle College of the Arts. He previously worked as a freelance Graphic Designer and is still in the process of discovering the techniques of art and design. He contributed in art markets such as Chill AF at Gillman Barracks as well as the Singapore Sculpture Society. He tries to explore and present a message or invoke an emotion through his art to let his works speak for themselves. His interest in symbolism's and the surreal nature of things; amplifies his works of portraying subtle properties that harbor within his mind. His forte includes graphite and digital paintings although he is proficient in oil paintings as well.
ARTIST STATEMENT
I started delving into art at a very young age as my mother was an architect and often taught me how to draw things from their basic forms. I soon became fond of drawing and it sparked my interest to learn more techniques and mediums. Till this day i am still eager to learn more.

I am intrigued by people and their emotions and love drawing portraits. Creating art is a drug of sorts where I get entranced by the tones, the visuals. I draw what i perceive as raw expressions of my reality and to capture the beauty of mundane objects and individuals alike. I try with every new work produced to improve my technical skills and envision to one day produce hyper realistic drawings.
